The TV show «Frasier» may be canceled as its streaming platform did not renew it for a third season. Fans are facing this news, many are puzzled about the show’s future. Usually, when a series is not renewed for the next season, it signals cancellation, but reports indicate that the parent network of «Frasier» plans to offer it to other platforms in hopes that they will pick it up. Just two months ago, star and producer Kelsey Grammer spoke with IndieWire about the new direction television has taken compared to the past tradition for sitcoms.
«In this new streaming world we find ourselves in, you don’t know who’s in charge», - Kelsey told the magazine in November 2024. «And you can’t understand why they gave the order or why they didn’t. So, the only thing I can adapt to is the idea that I made a good TV show that people will want to watch more of, and hopefully that will sustain us into the next decade».
During the interview, Kelsey said he is «fully intent on doing another decade» of «Frasier».

After the death of his father Martin Crane, the end of his decade-long relationship with Charlotte, and the conclusion of his TV show in Seattle, Frasier Crane returns to Boston to improve his relationship with his son Frederick. Frederick is now a firefighter, and Frasier becomes a professor at Harvard. Moving into his son’s apartment, Frasier starts a new life.

Paramount+ canceled «Frasier» on its streaming platform, not renewing it for a third season. However, CBS plans to offer the show to other streaming services, according to Variety.
If CBS is unable to sell the show to another platform, «Frasier» will not continue after the second season. According to Deadline, possible contenders include Hulu and Prime Video. Both of these streaming services have access to original episodes of «Frasier» for subscribers.
