Judge Greg Mattis and his wife Linda Riz Mattis have decided to separate after 39 years of marriage.
Linda, 61, filed for divorce from the 64-year-old judge star, citing irreconcilable differences, in the Los Angeles Supreme Court on Thursday, August 22. She listed their date of separation as July 17 and is requesting alimony. It is unclear if the couple had a prenuptial agreement. TMZ was the first to report this.
The reality show judge and Linda got married in June 1985 and have four adult children: Jade, 39, Kamara, 36, Greg Jr., 35, and Amir, 34. The family briefly appeared in the short-lived reality show «The Mattis Family» in 2022.
In April 2021, Mattis celebrated their enduring love with a photo from their wedding. «Marrying Linda put me on the right path», - he wrote on Facebook. «I hope my path will be an inspiration to others».
Greg appeared on the television court show «Judge Mattis» for 24 seasons, from 1999 to 2023. During its run, the syndicated court show won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program in 2018.
In May 2022, the show’s host was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and proudly accepted the accolade.
