World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has become a huge sports empire thanks to spouses and co-founders Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon. However, this husband and wife have faced controversies in recent years. After Vince was accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking, another lawsuit was filed against him, Linda, and WWE for negligence in a scandal known as the «ring boys lawsuit». The lawsuit claimed that several members of WWE, including the late ring announcer Mel Phillips, sexually assaulted young men hired to work at wrestling matches.

In light of the controversies facing Linda and Vince, WWE fans are wondering if the spouses are still together. Find out their family status below.

The McMahons got married in 1966.

Linda and Vince raise two children: son Shane and daughter Stephanie.

As of November 2024, Vince and Linda are still together.

Vince and Linda began their path to wrestling fame in the early 1980s.

Linda officially stepped down as CEO of WWE in 2009 when she began her Senate campaign. However, she still retains a small portion of her shares in the company.

Vince briefly stepped down from his position at WWE in 2022. However, in January 2024, he permanently stepped down as executive chairman of TKO and from the board of directors after a lawsuit was filed against him for sex trafficking and sexual assault, according to ESPN.

Former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince, claiming he forced her to engage in sexual acts with him to keep her job at the company. She also claimed that Vince showed other men pornographic content involving her. Vince denied these allegations.

According to a statement obtained by ESPN, Vince stated that Janel’s lawsuit is «full of lies, fabricated incidents that never happened, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth» and added that he «will vigorously defend himself against these baseless allegations».

If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual assault, please call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1−800−656-HOPE (4673). A trained staff member will provide confidential, impartial support, as well as local resources to help with healing, recovery, etc
