Jana Dagar’s Wedding: Dreams Come True in a White Dress and Loved One at the Altar

Jana Duggar finally saw her young dreams come true — a white dress and her beloved man at the altar.
On Thursday, August 15, in a «classic, elegant» ceremony, the «19 Kids and Counting» alumna married musician Stephen Wissmann in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
The newlyweds exchanged traditional vows at The Grand at Willow Springs in front of 500 guests, including witness Jessa Duggar Seewald, her bridesmaid Abby Duggar, and sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, and Jordyn Duggar as bridesmaids.
«For me, this is one of those things that all girls dream of someday», - said 34-year-old Jana to PEOPLE before the wedding. «For me, it seemed like, 'Okay, this is never going to happen.' But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to set in. And I’m like, 'Wow, this is really what I dreamed of.'»
Following her desire to have a stylish day, Jana kept everything minimalistic and simple for the entire celebration.
«The venue is already so magnificent and picturesque that I didn’t want to distract from it too much», - said Jana. «The guys will be in black suits, the girls in champagne-colored dresses, and then just white flowers and greenery».
Jana, the oldest daughter of the Duggar family with 19 children, walked down the aisle to the song «Holy, Holy, Holy» in an ivory off-the-shoulder satin dress with her father, Jim Bob Duggar. «The dress was stylish and a little bit princess-like».
The former TLC star noted that one of the important aspects of this day was to have their loved ones well included, as there are many of them.
«Because we come from two big families, we love getting together and celebrating these moments», - said Jana. «So having all of them there means a lot to me».
She and Stephen, one of 13 children and a member of the gospel group The Wissmann Family, got engaged on June 15 after rekindling their relationship this year. The couple had dated some time ago, but Jana told PEOPLE that they continued to communicate «from time to time».
«[The Wissmanns] traveled and sang. I remember them coming to our house probably 13 years ago, and they got stuck here because of a snowstorm, which almost never happens in Arkansas», - Jana recalled.
«I remember playing games late into the night, putting puzzles together, until the snow melted and they were able to go back home. I don’t remember Stephen very well because I’m older than him, so he wasn’t really on my radar»
