Former Nickelodeon star Taylor Chase, best known for his role in the show «Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide», - received help from his old friend and co-star Daniel Curtis Lee when he learned about Taylor’s homelessness situation in Los Angeles. Daniel, who played Cookie on the show, reached out to Taylor to offer assistance, and former show host Devon Werkheiser also got involved.

Hollywood Life gathered all the latest updates on Taylor’s housing situation.

Taylor is a former child actor, most recognized for his cheerful role in «Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide». He portrayed the talkative and smart student Martin Qwerly at the fictional James J. Polk Middle School.

It is unclear what happened to Taylor’s acting career, but according to his IMDb profile, his notable works include «Good Time Max», - «Everybody Hates Chris», - and «Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide».

A few days before Christmas 2025, former co-star Daniel shared a video on Instagram about his encounters with Taylor. He reached out to Taylor after seeing a video of him online.

«If anyone knows of a rehabilitation center willing to take Taylor Chase on a scholarship, please reach out», - Daniel wrote in the caption of the Instagram video on December 22, 2025. «I am also seeking advice from a financial consultant on setting up a trust where funds will be allocated only after successful completion of the program. We want to do this right—safely, structured, and with support».

In a subsequent interview with TMZ, Devon stated that Taylor had always been «a sensitive, kind, and sweet kid» and noted that «it breaks my heart to see him like this».

«I haven’t seen Taylor in almost 20 years since the show ended», - Devon said, adding that Taylor’s addiction issues complicate his homelessness situation. «Anyone who has faced serious addiction and deep mental health issues knows that it’s an incredibly complicated situation if they don’t want help».

Devon also emphasized that simply giving Taylor money would not solve the problem. He added, «It's a daily struggle to fix the situation. It requires immense support, patience, and time. … My only hope is that through this attention, someone with real understanding and resources can step in, help Taylor get treatment, and get him back on the right path».

«We all want a happy ending», - Devon concluded about Taylor.

According to Daniel, the actor and podcaster took his former colleague out for pizza in Riverside, California, and put him up in a hotel after Taylor «somewhat declined» to check into a hospital for help.

«I just wanted to give you an update», - Daniel shared in a second Instagram video on December 23, 2025. «Sean Weiss and his team put in a lot of effort to try to get him into the hospital last night—and I thought it worked. His dad told me it worked, but it seems he somewhat declined».

After mentioning that he organized a video call between Devon and Taylor, Daniel added that Taylor «trusted an old friend» and «wanted to stay nearby, and that was the only open option».

Before meeting with Daniel, Taylor spoke to the Daily Mail about his housing situation and insisted that he does not consider himself «actively homeless at the moment».

«I'm staying here in the county. My mom is here», - Taylor explained. «I have a lot of good people helping me. It’s not that bad. Many are helping. That makes a big difference».

The former actor added that he has family and friends, as well as a homeless assistance program. «There are charities from people who are benefactors. That’s a pretty nice aspect of all this», - Taylor said, adding, «It's a real privilege, obviously. I don’t consider myself actively homeless at the moment»
