Teddi Mellencamp underwent plastic surgery amid her cancer treatment and shared her experience with fans. In an Instagram video on October 13, she stated that the surgery was approved by her oncologists, and she feels good.
Mellencamp, who is 45 years old, mentioned that after the post by Dr. Sarmila Sunder on Instagram, her phone received numerous inquiries. The surgery she underwent is called upper blepharoplasty, aimed at removing excess skin from the eyelids. In 2022, Teddi was diagnosed with skin cancer, and in 2025, four tumors were found in her brain, which she treated with radiation and immunotherapy.
Dr. Sunder, who performed the surgery, noted that Mellencamp had experienced discomfort for a long time due to excess skin on her eyelids, which caused her to involuntarily raise her eyebrows. She added that this also led to horizontal lines on her forehead and fatigue in her facial area. The surgery was performed under local anesthesia after receiving approval from the oncologists.
