Teddi Mellencamp has been openly sharing her battle with melanoma since 2022, when she revealed her diagnosis. Now, the star of the reality show «The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills», - who has undergone several surgeries, shared an update on her health, stating that she now has multiple tumors on her brain.

On Wednesday, February 12, 43-year-old Teddi posted on Instagram: «For the past few weeks, I have been suffering from severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday, the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which, in their opinion, have been growing for at least 6 months».

Mellencamp previously described her skin cancer diagnosis as a «wake-up call», - admitting that she never wore sunscreen or checked her moles until she was 40. She urged her followers to take their health seriously, saying: «The lesson from this story: if the doctor says, 'come every 3 months,' please come every 3 months. I really wanted to ignore it. 'What can happen in 3 months?' I thought. Turns out, a lot», - she shared on Instagram in October 2022. She also expressed her desire to «share this journey», - explaining that as a «90s teenager» she used to tan her skin with baby oil and iodine.

Mellencamp was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in March 2022. She revealed that a spot on her back was removed after her friend Kyle Richards advised her to get checked because it looked like skin cancer. She also shared photos of the spot and how it looked after removal. «I am doing everything I can to stay present and positive as I head [to filming] today. Grateful to be busy to keep my mind from wandering while I wait for results», - she wrote at the time. «I find strength in being honest with all of you and hope it helps others. Please let this be a reminder to take care of your skin».

In October 2022, the television star revealed that she had been diagnosed with melanoma again in an Instagram post, including a photo with a bandage. «Melanoma update», - she wrote in the caption. «Despite my anxiety, I listened to the doctors and went for my three-month skin check last week after my previous melanoma. They said I have another abnormal spot next to the previous one, so they did a biopsy. This morning they called me: stage 2 melanoma».

«Now, next week I am going to the oncologist to have it removed and develop a plan for the future», - she continued. «Of course, all of this awaits additional tests and biopsies of other spots nearby, which were taken today».

She also updated her followers on her Instagram Story around the same time. «So, I just finished a workout and got a call from the doctor that another spot came back as melanoma and they asked me to come in right away. So here I am», - she said, holding back tears in the video. «I am facing my fears and making sure I follow through with these medical appointments and will keep you updated. It’s so important. Get your skin checks».

Mellencamp had to have a total of 12 melanomas removed in eight months after the initial diagnosis in March 2022.

Melanoma is a «type of skin cancer that develops when melanocytes (cells that give the skin its tan or brown color) start to grow out of control», - according to the American Cancer Society. Their website also states that melanoma is «much less common than some other types of skin cancer», - but it is «more dangerous because it is much more likely to spread to other parts of the body if not detected and treated early».

Mellencamp revealed that she first treated skin cancer in March 2022. By October of the same year, she shared that she received another diagnosis and had to undergo several surgeries to remove a total of 12 tumors in eight months. In December 2022, she announced that she was
