Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert announced their separation

Teyana Taylor is a true triple threat: she is a talented dancer, actress, and singer, but above all, her music is her top priority. Outside of music, Teyana was in a long-term relationship with former NBA player Iman Shumpert. The couple married in 2016 and takes pride in their daughters, Junie and Rue. Unfortunately, in September 2023, they announced their separation after seven years of marriage.
In her previous Instagram post, Teyana stated that despite the separation, they remain committed to co-parenting their children. «We are still best friends, great business partners, and an amazing team when it comes to co-parenting our two beautiful kids. Most importantly, we are FAMILY, and after 10 years together, 7 of which were in marriage, we have never played with that», - she wrote.
Teyana and Iman welcomed their first daughter on December 16, 2015. Although she was named after her parents, she also has the sweet nickname Junie. The R&B singer shared that Junie was born a month early, and she didn’t realize she was in labor when she posted on Instagram announcing her birth. «She was a wonderful surprise for everyone», - she wrote. «It took just two pushes, and she was in my fiancé's hands».
Teyana recounted that after Iman helped her deliver Junie, they went to the hospital, and everything was fine. In his announcement, Iman wrote that although he was scared, he instinctively knew what to do. «This is definitely the best assist I’ve ever recorded in my life.
