Taylor Lautner and Taylor Lautner (formerly Dome) definitely know what can annoy each other — specifically, what household habits can sometimes irritate them. During an exclusive video interview with Hollywood Life, the couple from «Home Team», - Taylor, 32, and registered nurse, 27, revealed their biggest annoyances about each other, promoting their partnership with STEM™ and the new flying insect trap STEM Attracts & Traps.
«Taylor is a very organized, neat person, and I… am not», - noted Taylor, before Taylor pointed out that her husband «has gotten better» over time. Taylor continued to explain that she is «just very neat and [needs] things organized», - adding that it’s «just how [her] brain prefers things».
Despite their different cleaning habits, Taylor noted that she «can't get mad» at the «Twilight» actor, because «Taylor just doesn’t see it, which I’ve realized he’s not ignoring».
Taylor also explained his biggest annoyance about Taylor: toilet paper. «I like the toilet paper to hang a certain way — over, not under», - he said, as they both laughed.
Despite occasional complaints about their household habits, the spouses have been happily married since 2022.
«Taylor and I have been together for seven years, almost two years of marriage, and we’ve had minor disagreements with each other that we’ve certainly worked through», - he emphasized, before explaining their latest partnership with Taylor. «But what STEM is familiar with is insects, and we used [the STEM light trap] in our home before this partnership… It’s the simplest device. It’s just a sticky cassette with ultraviolet blue light that you insert into the wall».
The brand conducted a survey that proved having insects and other pests in the home can amplify feelings of annoyance between partners. Fifty-two percent of respondents even agreed that they are more likely to get annoyed with their partner when insects are present in their home.
As Taylor told Hollywood Life, the couple used STEM in their home before becoming brand partners, and the Light Trap helps them to be annoyed one less thing. This insect-free solution uses soft ultraviolet blue light and refillable cartridges to attract and trap flying insects 24/7, including flies, mosquitoes, fruit flies, moths, and more. Since insects and other pests can invade their space — especially in the summer when Taylor admits she likes to leave doors and windows open — Taylor noted that he and Taylor have STEM light traps «in every corner of our home».
In addition to their latest partnership, Taylor and Taylor also host their podcast «The Squeeze» since early 2023. On their show, the spouses have invited several celebrity guests to discuss important topics, ranging from mental health to managing the overwhelming attention that comes with fame, something the MTV Movie Award winner has dealt with in the past.
Speaking exclusively with Hollywood Life, Taylor explained how he found a healthier approach to managing life in public and his private life with Taylor.
«It was a balance for me, but I would say I used to be much more closed off in my private life than I am today», - said the star of «Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D». «I just think when things were happening at a young age, it was just scary when so much of your personal life was taken away… And for me in the last few years, I think I’ve found a healthier balance where you find joy, genuine joy, in sharing moments of your life with people. So, I think that’s been really cool for me».
Taylor noted that seeing her husband open up on their podcast was «amazing», - noting that she was pleasantly surprised to hear him say «things he had never said before» on the show.
