Taylor Swift has announced the release of a new single titled «Patient Zero», - which will be available on September 25. The singer shared this news on Instagram, adding that pre-orders for the track are open on her website for 24 hours.
In June, Swift was spotted at Electric Lady Studios in New York, where she was engaged in a nighttime recording session. It is possible that this track is the result of her work in the studio.
The announcement of the new single came a week after her pre-recorded sketch with Mariska Hargitay at the Emmys. In this sketch, Hargitay’s character, Detective Olivia Benson, was trying to determine whether Swift would attend the show by analyzing possible clues, while Swift’s character, a rookie detective, insisted that not everything is a clue.
The new single is being released a year after the release of her album «The Life of a Showgirl».
