Taylor Swift and Kanye West continue their musical feud

The feud between Swift and West continues — at least when it comes to music. Taylor Swift’s album The Tortured Poets Department holds the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart for the 14th time, while Kanye West’s Vultures 2 takes the second spot on the chart. This was reported by Billboard on Sunday, August 11.
TTPD was released earlier this year as a double album, quickly becoming one of Taylor’s most successful albums of all time. The 34-year-old hitmaker of «Karma» announced that she was releasing new music after winning the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album in February.
«I want to say 'thank you' to my fans, by telling you a secret that I’ve been hiding from you for the past two years», - Taylor said, accepting her award, adding: «My brand new album is coming out on April 19th. It’s called The Tortured Poets Department».
In addition to her latest album, Taylor is touring worldwide as part of her Eras tour since mid-2023. As for West, the 47-year-old rapper released Vultures 2 in collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign.
Taylor and West have been in a cold standoff since 2009, when the «Stronger» performer interrupted her performance at the Video Music Awards after winning the Best Female Video award. At that moment, West took the microphone from Taylor and said that Beyoncé had released one of the best albums «of all time». Passing the microphone back to Taylor, she remained silent.
