Taylor Swift announced which major musical artist she collaborated with on the first single of the album «The Department of Tortured Poets»: Post Malone. The 34-year-old pop icon announced the news through Twitter on Thursday, April 18, just a few hours before the release of her new album.
«The first single from the album 'The Department of Tortured Poets' - 'Fortnite' featuring @postmalone», - Taylor wrote on Twitter. «I have always been a huge fan of Post because of his talent as a songwriter, his musical experiments, and those melodies that just get stuck in your head. I had the unique opportunity to see how this magic came to life when we worked together on 'Fortnite'. Honestly, I can’t wait for you to hear this song at midnight TONIGHT and see the video at 8 PM Eastern Time TOMORROW».
Taylor’s new album is set to be released at midnight on Friday, April 19. Swifties have been eagerly awaiting the release of her new music after she announced it, receiving a Grammy award earlier this year.

Fans are convinced that the new music may have been inspired by Taylor’s breakup with ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. The former couple dated from 2016 until mid-2023, before Taylor began a relationship with current boyfriend Travis Kelsey.
During a conversation with Variety in 2022, Joe, 33, talked about a group chat he was in with other friends, called the «Tortured Men’s Club». Swifties certainly believe that Taylor’s 2024 album points to this statement.
