Dakota Johnson received support from her friend Taylor Swift during her appearance on Saturday Night Live, where she discussed her well-known romances. In the episode that aired on October 3, Johnson, noting her recent breakups with Chris Martin and Role Model, joked about looking for a third partner.
The actress remarked that some of the musicians she has dated «don't wear shoes» and are «terrible in bed», - adding that they all continue to message her privately. Swift, appearing on stage, agreed that Johnson has supportive friends but clarified that she is not her «literal therapist». She explained that Johnson comes to her with an empty bottle of wine and shares her feelings, to which Swift sometimes responds, «Damn, that’s crazy!»
Johnson also joked that by dating musicians, she is doing a public service by saving women money on antidepressants. That evening, Johnson was celebrating her birthday, and Swift returned to the stage to present her with a cake.
Recently, Johnson and Swift have been spending a lot of time together. Johnson attended Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce in July and presented her with the first Artist Director Honors award at the MTV VMAs 2026.
