Taylor Swift faced several threats during her Eras tour, causing concern for her boyfriend, Travis Kelsey.
Recently, the 34-year-old pop star was scheduled to perform at three concerts in Vienna, Austria, when two suspects planned a terrorist attack. According to the Associated Press, the arrested suspects have now admitted to planning to «kill as many people as possible outside the concert hall».
Chief of the State Security and Intelligence Directorate, Oma Haiyavi-Pirhner, commented on the situation and mentioned that the main suspect «wanted to carry out an attack outside the stadium area, killing as many people as possible, using knives or even explosive devices that he had made».
After a confirmed investigation, three concerts were canceled «for the safety of everyone». In a statement released by Barracuda Music, it said: «Having received confirmation from government officials about a planned terrorist attack at the Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel three scheduled concerts for the safety of everyone». They assured fans that they would be refunded.
Amid all this violence, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelsey was upset and «immediately» contacted his girlfriend when he heard the news, according to a source who spoke with Page Six. Travis had been accompanying Taylor throughout her Eras tour and even performed with her as a surprise dancer in the background, but he recently had to return to football training as the NFL season was quickly approaching.
This comes shortly after the singer of «Lover» detained a stalker in Germany and an attack on three young girls who died at a Swift-style dance and yoga event, as confirmed by Merseyside police.
Taylor had previously openly spoken about her fear of violence. During an interview with Elle in 2019, she shared: «My fear of violence continues into my personal life… I carry QuikClot military-grade bandage, which is for gunshot or stab wounds. Websites and tabloids have taken it upon themselves to post every one of my home addresses online. When you have enough stalkers trying to break into your house, you kind of start prepping for bad things»
