Taylor Swift resumed her «Reputation» tour a week after canceling her concerts in Vienna, Austria, when a terrorist plot was discovered by authorities. On Thursday, August 15, the 34-year-old pop star returned to London, performing at Wembley Stadium. Security at the event was heightened to ensure safety. Unlike most concerts on the «Reputation» tour, Swift’s fans were not allowed to gather outside the arena. However, this did not stop fans from enjoying the concert.

According to various sources, Swift did not discuss the terrorist plot in Vienna during her performance, but she invited British pop singer Ed Sheeran on stage. The duo performed a mashup of songs «Thinkin' Out Loud», - «Everything Has Changed», - and «End Game».

On August 8, Vienna authorities reported that two suspects — a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old — were arrested on suspicion of planning an attack on Swift’s concerts. A third person was later detained.

According to a statement published by Barracude Music on Instagram, government officials confirmed the planned attack. The director of the State Security and Intelligence Service, Oma Hajjavi-Pirchne, noted in the statement that the suspects «wanted to carry out an attack in the area around the stadium, killing as many people as possible, using knives or even explosive devices that he had made».

Swift had planned to hold three concerts at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna from August 8 to 10. Despite the cancellation, loyal concert-goers gathered in Vienna to exchange friendship bracelets and celebrate their favorite artist.

News of the terrorist plan emerged shortly after a 17-year-old teenager attacked a children’s dance and yoga class dedicated to Swift in Southport, England. In July, Merseyside police confirmed that three girls died from stab wounds. Other victims remained in critical condition.

In response to the incident, Swift wrote a note that she posted on her Instagram Stories that month.

«The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport continues to engulf me, and I am just completely shocked», - she wrote. «The loss of life and innocence, and the terrible trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, families, and first responders. These were just little kids in a dance class. I have no idea how to convey my condolences to these families»
