Tigan Croft will play the role of Rapunzel in the new Disney movie

We finally have a new Rapunzel! Disney announced in January 2026 that Tegan Croft has been chosen for the lead role in the upcoming live adaptation of «Tangled». Her co-star in the film will be Milo Manheim, who will play the fan-favorite Flynn Rider.

Fans best know Tegan for her role as Raven/Rachel Roth in the DC Comics series «Titans», - which aired from 2018 to 2023. Throughout her time working on the show, Tegan actively promoted it on her social media, clearly proud of the collaboration.
«The season two finale of 'Titans' is airing tonight!!!» she wrote in an Instagram post in 2019. «And over Thanksgiving weekend—it's very symbolic because I am grateful for so much about this show. In an interview with Marie Claire in 2023, Tegan noted an important lesson she learned while working on various sets: the «intense friendships» she developed with her co-stars.
«What I’ve been facing for almost 10 years now is the nature of friendship on set», - she explained at the time. «You develop such a strong and intense friendship with your colleagues in such a short amount of time».
Since the young actress has a busy schedule, she finds it challenging to build long-term friendships, Tegan noted, also thanking the fans who supported her in her role as Raven.
«I moved around a lot when I was in high school, and there were times when I didn’t have any [school] friends», - she said. «Instead, I had a whole community of people online, and they made videos with messages like, 'If Tegan sees this, we want her to know that she is really loved.' And I really felt that love».
