Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer have officially finalized their divorce, which became final ten years after their separation. A judge from the Los Angeles Superior Court signed the divorce documents, stating that «the status of the marriage or partnership is terminated, and the parties are restored to the status of single persons».
Although they are no longer legally married, there are still some unresolved issues between the former spouses. The documents indicate that the court retains jurisdiction to address all matters raised in the petition and response, except for the issue of the dissolution of marriage.

In December, Jennifer noted in the podcast «The Inside Edit» that she has «an ex-husband who is her best friend and is willing to do anything for her». She also referred to Maguire as «the best father, the best ex-husband, the best friend, and the most generous».
