Just minutes before he fell overboard from the Aleutian Lady in February, Midoius was video chatting with his three children, and this touching moment was captured by the film crew and aired in the episode that was released on September 25.

Midoius reassured her, noting that he was indeed safe, and they planned a salmon fishing trip together after his return home. Unfortunately, after the call ended, he died as a result of the fishing incident.
