Thomas Markle Sr., the father of Meghan Markle, has denied allegations of child sexual abuse. In an interview with the Daily Mail, he stated, «I have never had sexual relations with anyone under the age of 18» and promised to «do everything possible» to clear his name.
The allegations were made by his son, Thomas Markle Jr., who claimed to have found materials related to child sexual abuse in their father’s home in the Philippines. Thomas Sr. firmly rejected these accusations, calling them «sick lies». He also reported that in 2018 he received a letter, which Meghan claimed was sent to the Metropolitan Police in the UK, containing allegations against him. «Meghan never told me about the letter accusing me of such terrible things», - he said.
Thomas Sr. added that he had slept with prostitutes in the Philippines twice, but all of them were of legal age. He expressed his willingness to cooperate with law enforcement and take a lie detector test to prove his innocence. He also suggested that any materials found in his possession could have been «planted» to undermine his reputation.
Thomas Jr.'s sister, Samantha Markle, expressed confusion over her brother’s actions, noting that their father is in a vulnerable state. «I think it’s incredibly cruel of him», - she said.
