Tori Spelling opened up about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Brian Austin Green in the latest episode of her podcast misSpelling on Monday, April 22. Tori, 50, was chatting with her former «Beverly Hills 90210» co-star Shannen Doherty, 53, when she reminisced about her time dating Brian, 50, when they were teenagers and filming the show.
Tori and Brian dated around the same time that their characters (Donna Martin and David Silver, respectively) were together on the show. Tori also revealed that each actor wrote their own vows for the wedding episode, which felt like a transition into real life. «I always say Brian was my first love», - she said on the podcast. «The boundaries became so blurred».
Although their relationship didn’t work out, Tori admitted that she and Brian remain close to this day. «You know how close Brian and I are. I tell him everything. We’re like brother and sister, such close friends. We have that bond», - she said. «Recently we talked about my situation, about love, about heartbreak, about moving on to the next chapter in my life. He was so wonderful and supportive. Sometimes he says such inspiring words to me, that you can do this both professionally and personally».
Tori also mentioned that she recently turned to Brian after her split from Dean McDermott, whom she filed for divorce from at the end of March. «I made some comments like, 'No, I was in love. Maybe I wasn’t in love. I’m not sure. No one has broken my heart since you», - she said.
Although Tori didn’t share Brian’s response, she praised Brian’s fiancée Sharna Burgess. «It's been 30 years. We’re just friends. I love his fiancée», - she said. «It's not about that. But if he says something to me, I’m so excited and thrilled»
