Tragedy at presentation: Charlie Kirk, a supporter of Trump, killed in Utah

Charlie Kirk was giving a presentation at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, September 10, when he was shot. A vocal supporter of Donald Trump, Kirk was 31 years old, and his security was provided by his security team when the shooting began about 20 minutes into his «American Revival» tour.

According to NBC News, Kirk was injured during the shooting, and his current condition is unknown. However, videos circulating online showed Kirk physically reacting to the shots and dropping to his seat before blood started flowing down his neck.

Trump later confirmed that Kirk had passed away. Below, find out who he was and what happened to him today.

Kirk had established himself as a right-wing political commentator and activist, standing on the side of the president. Kirk is also the founder of Turning Point USA, a non-profit organization advocating conservative views on university campuses.

After the shooting, Trump released a statement on Truth Social, saying: «We all must pray for Charlie Kirk, who was injured. A great guy from start to finish. BLESS HIM!»

Kirk also hosts his radio show «The Charlie Kirk Show» on «The Answer» Salem Media channel.

Kirk attended Harper College and dropped out to fully dedicate himself to his activist career.

Kirk is married to his wife, podcaster and former Miss Arizona, Erika Frantzve. The couple is raising a daughter and a son.
