Italian rescuers have discovered the body of the last missing person from the luxury yacht that sank off the coast of Sicily. The body was brought ashore but has not yet been officially identified, according to the Italian press.

However, it is believed that the body belongs to Hannah Lynch, the 18-year-old daughter of British technology entrepreneur Mike Lynch.

After four days of searching, Hannah was the last missing person from the yacht. This discovery follows the finding of her father’s body on Thursday, which was discovered inside the sunken ship lying at the bottom of the sea at a depth of over 160 feet and at a 90-degree angle. He was declared dead.

The Lynch family expressed their despair, friends described the loss of the 18-year-old girl as «cruel beyond understanding».

Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, was rescued shortly after the incident, along with nine crew members and two other passengers. Eight of them were taken to the hospital, while the rest were accommodated in a nearby hotel.

The superyacht, which had 22 passengers and crew on board, sank in Sicily on the same day Lynch was celebrating his acquittal in a US fraud case related to the sale of Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard for $ 11 billion in 2011.

According to the Italian news agency Adnkronos, sources involved in the rescue operations reported that the victims were found outside their cabins. «Passengers were looking for ways to escape, reaching the opposite side of the ship where they were located», - the agency’s statement said. «But the water had already reached the cabins, and five of them were found in that direction».

The Italian Coast Guard also confirmed that the bodies of Jonathan Blumer, his wife Judith Blumer, lawyer Christopher Morvillo, and his wife Neda Morvillo were discovered after being found on the ship the previous day.

The Blumer family released a statement saying, «We mourn our loved ones and all those affected by this tragedy. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the rescue services and everyone who tirelessly helped in this rescue operation. Our parents were incredible people and an inspiration to many, but above all they were focused on their family and loved spending time with their grandchildren».

The statement also said, «Together for five decades, our only comfort is that they are still together now».

The ship’s cook, Recaldo Thomas, was declared dead on Monday.

With the discovery of the body on Friday, the total number of victims has risen to seven
