Audrey Plaza holds Hollywood in her pocket. The actress, who became famous thanks to the sitcom «Parks and Recreation», has recently been on a winning streak thanks to her critically acclaimed role in the film «Emily the Criminal» and her participation in the second season of the popular HBO series «The White Lotus», for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe and SAG Award. But, according to the actress herself, Audrey did not make much effort to get into «The White Lotus». Audrey’s biggest fan, the one who supported her success the most, is her husband, Jeff Baena. But tragedy struck their family in early 2025, when several sources reported Jeff’s death. He was 47 years old.

Jeff was born on June 29, 1977 in Miami and grew up in the South Florida region, according to his IMDB profile. He studied at New York University and currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
Jeff was a successful screenwriter, producer, and director. He is known for films such as «The Little Hours» (2017), «Life After Beth» (2014), and «Life in Color» (2021). He collaborated again with Alison Brie to write the screenplay for the 2022 film «Spin Me Round», in which she also played the lead role.
One of Jeff’s biggest successes in Hollywood was the screenplay for the film «I Heart Huckabees» with David O. Russell. This 2004 film, which received critical acclaim, was a comedy about existential private detectives.
The public didn’t even suspect that Audrey was preparing for a wedding when on May 7, 2021 she mysteriously announced it on her Instagram. Along with a photo of the couple, she wrote: «So proud of my dear husband @jeffbaena for coming up with another film that will send us to Italy to cause chaos again. Excited to reunite with the amazing @alisonbrie (who also collaborated on this!) and @theofficialsuperstar @sordociego @lauren_weedman and many other funny people in this project».
On January 4, 2025, several sources reported Jeff’s death. The cause of his death is still unknown, and Audrey has not yet commented on this news publicly
