Travis Barker has revealed the reason for his recent hospitalization after posting a photo from the hospital, where he is seen with his wife, Kourtney Kardashian. In his Instagram post, he shared that he underwent surgery on his arm on October 6, as his hand, wrist, and fingers had been numb since a performance last month. Following a nerve test conducted on October 2, he was diagnosed with a condition requiring surgery to release the ulnar nerve.
Ulnar nerve release surgery involves relieving compression of the ulnar nerve, according to the Mayo Clinic. Barker had previously raised concerns among fans by posting photos of himself in a hospital bed wearing a medical gown. His wife and daughter, Alabama, were with him during his hospitalization.
In his post, Barker noted that he wanted to «take control of the situation» and complete the treatment so he could continue performing. He added that he expects a full recovery within a few weeks. He attached a photo of a smiling Kourtney and joked, «I don’t know why my wife is so happy about this».

In 2008, he survived a plane crash that killed four of the six people on board, suffering third-degree burns over 65% of his body and undergoing 26 surgeries. In 2021, he mentioned that he was in «better shape than ever» thanks to physical therapy.
Previously, the band Blink-182 was forced to postpone their concerts in Las Vegas in 2018 when Barker developed blood clots in both arms. At that time, he was also diagnosed with a staph infection and cellulitis. In December 2025, the musician temporarily used crutches due to an injury sustained while training for a marathon in Los Angeles.
