Travis Kelce’s experience at the Coachella music festival exceeded all of his wildest dreams. Just a few days after being spotted in Indio, California with his girlfriend Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs football player shared his favorite memories of the weekend.
«I love live music, I just can’t get enough of it in life», - said 34-year-old Travis in an episode of his podcast «New Heights» on Wednesday, April 17. «I just love going to events, visiting places where people see all these talented people in the world, I just love experiencing that shit. That’s what I really like about Coachella, it’s not just one genre of music».
Attending the first weekend, the NFL player was able to watch performances by Ice Spice, Dom Dolla, and Jungle. He also got to support Bleachers, led by Taylor’s close friend Jack Antonoff.
«My guy Jack Antonoff — he just killed it», - said Travis. «I loved seeing him go crazy with the guitar, all his guys. He had two saxophonists, two drummers, two guitars, and they just killed it. It was so much fun».
While some celebrities prefer to watch the show from the stage, like Taylor, 34, and Travis chose to stand in the pit with other concertgoers. If you ask the NFL tight end, he prefers to experience the show from a fan’s perspective.
«I'm a fan of live performances», - shared Travis. «I want to see it from the front of the stage. We could possibly arrange that, but I think it’s just so much more of an experience if you’re in the pit, dude, if you’re in the madness with all the fans».
Later in the evening, the couple attended the Neon Carnival party, presented by PATRÓN EL ALTO tequila. Late in the night, Taylor wore a black outfit with a «New Heights» baseball cap, which quickly sold out. (The cap has since been restored several times.)
As for Travis, he sparked conversations with his festival outfit, including a «Happy Gilmore» cap, blue striped jeans, and a fresh pair of white Converse sneakers.
The Super Bowl champion will soon host his own concert event. On May 18, Travis will team up with Jim Beam whiskey to host Kelce Jam. The one-day event in Kansas City, Missouri, will include performances by Lil Wayne, Diplo, 2 Chainz, and other artists.
