Troy Aikman and Joe Buck argued before Monday Night Football broadcast
Amid the broadcasts of Monday Night Football, a conflict has erupted between commentators Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. According to Front Office Sports, the dispute between them reached a peak before the broadcast on October 12, when the Los Angeles Rams hosted the Buffalo Bills.

According to the source, Buck and Aikman, who have worked together for 25 years, had an argument before going on air; however, the conflict was resolved, and viewers did not notice anything unusual during the broadcast. The tension between the commentators is related to their contracts with ESPN: Buck signed a six-year deal worth $ 108 million last month, while Aikman’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he has not yet received an extension offer.

Aikman did not deny the existence of disagreements with Buck when asked about it during a radio interview on October 15. He noted that he is unsure whether it is worth discussing what happened now and added that he will become a free agent at the end of the season.

Buck and Aikman are expected to work together in February when ABC and ESPN will broadcast Super Bowl LXI. Buck has previously mentioned that their relationship is not always perfect, comparing it to a marriage that requires effort.

If Aikman leaves ESPN, it would create a significant vacancy in the Monday Night Football commentary team. Some sources suggest that Pat McAfee could be appointed to replace him; however, McAfee himself has denied these rumors, stating that there have been no discussions on the matter.
