Tyler, the Creator has canceled his upcoming performances at Lollapalooza and Outside Lands. The 33-year-old rapper announced this on Thursday, June 20, via X (formerly known as Twitter), asking fans to «please, please forgive» him.
«I hate to say this, but I have to cancel my performances at Lollapalooza and Outside Lands», - Tyler wrote that day. «I took on an obligation that I can no longer fulfill, and it saddens me, knowing how excited people were. It’s not sexy at all».
At the end of his statement, Tyler wrote, «please, please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. Love».
Lollapalooza confirmed Tyler’s performance cancellation, stating that he will be replaced by Megan Thee Stallion. She will perform on Thursday, August 1, in Chicago.

The «Juggernaut» artist later thanked fans, writing on X: «It was great to see the whole city come out last night. My first raps were written at home on Crenshaw and 82nd, right around the corner from the Forum. Thank you. Hi FREE LUNCH».
Earlier this year, Tyler performed at Coachella, where he played music from his albums including Goblin, Wolf, Flower Boy, and Igor. He also brought out guests such as A$AP Rocky and Charlie Wilson on stage
