Whitney Levitt, best known for her role in the series «The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives», - has decided to follow her dreams and leave the world of reality television. The Hulu character confirmed that she is exiting the project after four seasons, concluding her performance as Roxy Hart in the Broadway musical «Chicago».
Fans of SLOMW noticed that her departure coincides with a difficult period for the cast amid an investigation into domestic violence involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen.
Below, Hollywood Life shares what is known about Whitney’s exit from the show and her future in the entertainment industry.
Whitney participated in the 34th season of «Dancing with the Stars». She danced with professional dancer Mark Ballas and finished in sixth place.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in March 2026, Whitney shared her thoughts on the support she received during her time on ABC. Acknowledging that she was afraid of the «narrative» associated with SLOMW, Whitney noted that she was «surprised» by how many viewers supported her.
«This narrative made me feel insecure about transitioning to another platform because I felt like I didn’t have a community supporting me», - she admitted, adding, «And, oh my god, I was surprised because I really did have that community, and I still do».
Previously, Whitney told THR that she was «figuring out» how much longer she would stay in SLOMW to focus on her burgeoning acting career.
«I wouldn’t be where I am now without [The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives]. But it seems like it’s time to challenge myself in other ways and pursue those dreams and passions that I was trying to realize even before the show», - she explained, adding, «Well, I’m figuring this out in real time. We’re figuring it out together, but it seems like this is the direction everything is moving. But again, I wouldn’t be where I am now without this, but it seems like it’s time to challenge myself in other ways and pursue those dreams and passions that I was trying to realize even before the show».
Adding that she has «always been a performer», - Whitney noted that SLOMW has been a springboard for her stage career.
«People don’t know that before this, I was still auditioning», - she said. «I moved to California, took acting classes; Margie Haber, Groundlings, Leslie Kahn, I did everything… I always saw myself in acting».
Ultimately, Whitney emphasized that the reason for her departure from reality television is her desire to continue «climbing» the «ladder» of the entertainment industry
