Star of the show «The Bachelorette» Jenn Tran wiped away her tears and is now getting ready to put on her dancing shoes to participate in the show «Dancing with the Stars» alongside her dance partner, Sasha Farber. They found out about their participation just 45 minutes before boarding the plane to appear on «Good Morning America» to reveal this information.
The disappointing end to 26-year-old Jenn’s journey in search of love was revealed on Tuesday, September 3, when her engagement to Devin Strader suddenly ended with a phone call from him. In the final episode, Jenn shared that her ex-fiancé had distanced himself from her and said he no longer loved her after the show ended. As she explained in the «After the Final» segment with host Jesse Palmer: «The efforts were not consistent. He didn’t call as often, didn’t text as often. I was confused; I didn’t understand, because we had just left so happy. I felt secondary to everything else in his life… and I didn’t understand why».
Devin, speaking live, admitted that his decision to break off the engagement stemmed from a sense of inadequacy: «I realized that I couldn’t meet those expectations in the real world. I realized that I couldn’t meet the things you need and deserve».
While all of this was happening on Tuesday evening, Jenn told Us Weekly about her whirlwind experience with DWTS: «I came off stage, cried in my dressing room, and then they said, 'Okay, in 45 minutes you need to be on a plane. We’re doing this'. Similarly, 40-year-old professional dancer Sasha Farber also found out last minute that he would be joining the cast.
According to a source, Sasha shared: «I got a call early in the morning and they said, 'You need to be on a plane in 45 minutes'. I rushed to the airport. I didn’t even have a ticket… I hadn’t even met her. I saw someone running to security and thought, 'That must be Jenn. I need to go where she’s going'».
As a new opportunity unfolds, Jenn told People magazine that while she is in the «healing process», she is «so excited for this new opportunity and ready to dive into something else, something I’ve always wanted to do».
Jenn will make her debut on «Dancing with the Stars» on September 17, available for viewing on ABC and Disney+ channels
