A physical education teacher and wrestling coach, Jason Tedor, was arrested in Pennsylvania, who, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, allegedly committed sexual offenses against at least three minor victims. The arrest took place on September 25, after which Tedor was taken into custody on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, and unlawful contact with minors.
According to authorities, three victims reported sexual abuse by Tedor, who is 54 years old, between 2019 and 2023. Investigators believe the number of victims may be higher, despite only three individuals coming forward so far. At the time of the alleged offenses, Tedor was employed as a teacher at Montgomery Elementary School and as a wrestling coach at Pennbrook Middle School, both of which are part of the North Penn School District in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.
The investigation was initiated after a young woman reported years of sexual abuse allegedly committed by Tedor, whom she met online. She claims he began to sexually assault her when she was 13 years old. Later, police identified two more alleged victims, one of whom was a former student of Tedor. She reported that he began communicating with her online and abused her after she was no longer his student.
Following Tedor’s arrest, the North Penn School District stated that they have no evidence that he engaged in any inappropriate behavior on school grounds. District Superintendent Todd Bauer noted in a letter to parents and staff that the information about the arrest is difficult to process, and the district has provided counseling for students and staff at Montgomery Elementary School, Pennbrook Middle School, and North Penn High School.
Tedor attended a court hearing on September 26, where he was denied bail. The next court date is set for October 1. It is currently unclear whether Tedor has entered a plea or hired an attorney.
