The dance teacher of Chad Lowe’s daughter, Fiona, who took her own life at the age of 13 this week, posted a heartfelt tribute in her memory. On Friday, October 2, Kendra Andrews shared a video on Instagram showing Fiona rehearsing dance moves in the studio, while a woman, presumably Andrews herself, encourages her.
Andrews noted that the first video was filmed just a month after Fiona lost her home in a fire. She described how Fiona always came to the studio with a bright smile and warm hugs. In her post, Andrews also shared how hard Fiona worked on her dancing and expressed pride in her achievements.
In closing her message, Andrews wrote that she feels «broken» over the loss. She emphasized that Fiona was a dear student to her and that her absence will leave an unfillable void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Fiona’s death was announced on September 29. In a joint statement, Chad Lowe and his wife Kim Painter expressed deep sorrow over the loss of their daughter, describing her as «a loving girl, smart, creative, and passionate about dance». They requested prayers and respect for their privacy during this difficult time. According to the Los Angeles County coroner, Fiona was pronounced dead on October 1, and her death was ruled a suicide.
