Will Friedle was hospitalized after waking up with alarming symptoms, including blood in his urine. The actor shared this in his podcast «Pod Meets World», - noting that the incident occurred on October 3.
According to Friedle, he felt unwell and rushed to the bathroom in a panic. His wife, Susan Martens, immediately noticed that something was wrong when the actor’s complexion changed. Friedle recalled telling her, «I just gave it all away… I need to go to the hospital».
At the hospital, Friedle waited on a stretcher in the hallway until a room became available. Doctors diagnosed him with a kidney stone that was small enough to pass without surgical intervention. During his hospitalization, one of the nurses, recognizing him, joked by imitating his character Eric Matthews from «Boy Meets World».
Doctors prescribed Friedle Oxycodone for pain relief; however, he chose not to take the powerful painkiller, citing numerous horror stories about it.
Friedle, along with his podcast colleagues Rider Strong and Danielle Fishel, is preparing for a promotional tour for their book «Book Meets World: The Definitive Inside Story of the Hit Sitcom Boy Meets World», - which will kick off on November 9 in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and will last for two weeks.
