Guillermo Rodriguez is actively preparing for the third week of «Dancing with the Stars», - despite his partner Whitney Carson needing some rest. In her TikTok video from September 26, Carson, 32, noted that even when she sits down to take a break, Rodriguez, 55, continues to rehearse.
In the video, Rodriguez showcases his dance moves in the rehearsal studio and then blows a kiss to the camera. Carson captioned it: «He is really trying hard! I am so proud and feel blessed to have the kindest partner».
Carson and Rodriguez, who became known as Jimmy Kimmel’s sidekick, were saved from elimination during «Viral Hits Night» of the show, despite receiving low scores for their paso doble to Rihanna’s «Where Have You Been». Carson told Us Magazine in an exclusive interview that she feels the judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli are gradually starting to support them. Rodriguez added that he felt more confident during this performance than he did during the premiere.
He noted that the most challenging part for him is remembering the steps, as he has never danced before, but he enjoys the process. Carson, who is expecting her third child with husband Carson McAllister, shared that Rodriguez was initially nervous about their partnership, but they have now become friends.
Carson, who won Season 34 with partner Robert Irwin, is aiming for her second consecutive trophy. She shared that she told Rodriguez, «I want to win again. I just felt it, and now I want to do it again». Rodriguez responded that they shouldn’t be greedy and suggested they just enjoy the process.
«Dancing with the Stars» airs on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesdays at 8 PM Eastern Time.
