Whitney Purvis was known for her participation in the reality show MTV’s «16 and Pregnant», - which aired in 2009. Since she did not return for the «Teen Mom» franchise, fans are curious about what Whitney is doing now, considering her numerous run-ins with the law. So, where is Whitney now?

Hollywood Life provides the latest details on Whitney’s life after MTV below.

Whitney first appeared on an episode of «16 and Pregnant» in July 2009, but did not return for «Teen Mom».

At the time of publication, it appears that Whitney is currently incarcerated in Floyd County, Georgia, after being arrested on July 7, 2025, according to online records from Floyd County Jail reviewed by Hollywood Life. Whitney was charged with reckless homicide, as well as two other charges related to controlled substances, including a charge of unlawful possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. According to jail records, Judge Lori Hughes denied Whitney bail.

According to TMZ, Whitney was charged with intentionally distributing the drug «Trank» (a combination of Fentanyl and Xylazine), which allegedly led to the victim John Mark Harris suffering a fatal overdose.

By 2025, Whitney had been arrested at least four times. Prior to being incarcerated for alleged intentional reckless homicide related to a fatal overdose, Whitney was arrested for allegedly stealing a pregnancy test from a Walmart store, destroying electronic equipment, and failing to pay child support.

Whitney is currently raising one child with her former partner Weston Gosa Sr.: son River. They also shared their late son Weston, who passed away in June 2025. In that month, she announced his death on Facebook. He was 16 years old.

During an interview with People, Whitney noted that her late son «had a lot of medical issues, more than a child should have to go through» and that Weston «was born with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency as a baby, but as he got older, he was diagnosed with Addison’s disease, and then that led to diabetes».

According to an unconfirmed Instagram account under the name Purvis, she apparently welcomed a third son in 2023.
