Actor K. U. Morgan, who played the father of Ghostface’s killer Billy Loomis in the film «Scream», - passed away at the age of 72. According to Us Weekly, he died on August 30 in a bathroom, as reported by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Morgan’s daughter shared a heartfelt post on social media, expressing her feelings about the loss. She wrote: «Losing you has left a huge hole in my heart. I already miss you endlessly. I will continue our drives on Mulholland and trips to Starbucks. I am grateful and happy that you were my dad. My Gak. Rest easy, buddy. Life will never be the same without you and your poorly timed jokes that I inherited from you».
Morgan was born on June 8, 1954, in Bisbee, Arizona. He is known for his role in the 1996 film «Scream», - where he played Hank Loomis, the father of Billy Loomis, portrayed by Skeet Ulrich. Although his role was small, the character played an important part in the plot, as his romance with the mother of the final girl, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), led to the Loomis family’s breakdown and Billy’s murders.
Hank was a prominent lawyer who defended Billy during questioning at the local police station. The character also appeared in a flashback scene in the 2000 film «Scream 3».
Morgan is also known for his roles in the 1997 film «Metro», - the 1992 television movie «The Last of His Tribe», - and the 1997 video game «The Last Express».
