Harrison was born in Salt Lake City and began his career in Hollywood, but gained true popularity in European and Asian film projects, where his masculine appearance and physical fitness were in demand. After signing a contract with 20th Century Fox, Harrison appeared in small roles in major films such as «Jeanne Eagels» and «South Pacific». He later signed with American International Pictures and became a star of European films, including hits like «The Invincible Gladiator» and «Revenge of the Seven Seas».
