Krissila Anderson, known to fans for her participation in the show «Country Ever After», - passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 45 after a long battle with colon cancer. In recent years, fans followed her personal story of fighting the disease as she openly shared updates about her condition online. Her death was announced in a posthumous message on Instagram, published by her friend and photographer Lindsay Villatoro, which included a farewell message from Krissila herself.

«My heart is broken as I share this. I promised Krissila that I would be by her side on this journey when she could no longer stand on her own, and I pray that she knew how deeply she was loved», - Lindsay wrote, adding several photos of Krissila. «Being with her until the very end was the greatest honor of my life».

Krissila was a dancer, choreographer, and reality TV star who appeared on «Country Ever After» alongside her ex-husband Kofi Anderson. Previously, she had danced with major music stars and worked as a choreographer for the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders—a role she returned to in 2024 as a judge at auditions.

Off-screen, Anderson was a devoted mother in a blended family of four children, including three she had with Kofi and one adopted child. She often shared moments of family life with her fans, as well as updates about her battle with cancer.

In her posthumous message, Krissila wrote to her children: «To my kids, my everything. Ethan, you made me a mom. I am still with you, supporting you. Savannah, my bonus girl, you were the gift that God knew I needed. Emmarie, my dancer who loves Jesus, keep dancing in every season. Everly, my bright light, boldly follow your dreams and don’t be afraid. My babies… I am watching over you. When a moment feels warm, familiar, or too beautiful to be a coincidence, that’s me. I still care for you. I am still yours».

Krissila was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018. By 2019−2020, her condition had worsened to stage four. After a period of remission around 2021, the disease returned, spreading to her lymph nodes and eventually metastasizing to other organs, including the brain and lungs, as reported by a close friend.

In 2022, she told People magazine that «the chances of [the cancer] returning are very, very high», - adding, «That's why it has always been important for me not only to celebrate all the victories but also to prepare my mind for a bad outcome, which brings us back to the beginning. It’s almost as if I had to consider cancer as a chronic illness».

Even in her final months, she explored treatment options, including radiation and potential clinical trials for colon cancer, demonstrating a long and brave fight.
