Lynn Bane passed away at the age of 51 on January 20, 2025, her son Sebastian shared in a heartbreaking post on social media later that same week. Bane’s death occurred just a few weeks after she was involved in an accident during a winter vacation. Although the official cause of death has not been revealed yet, Sebastian’s announcement hinted at how she tragically passed away.

«Many of you have followed my mom, but never had the chance to meet her in person. I would like to take this opportunity to share who my mom really was», - Sebastian wrote in his Instagram post, which was published on Bane’s account. «She was and will always be my best friend, the best mother to me, and a person who cared for everyone. She always had a smile on her face, even when times were tough during the recovery process. She was a fighter until the end and the strongest woman I know. She was the funniest and coolest mom I could ever dream of. She took care of me, my dad, and our whole family throughout her life».

Sebastian promised that although his mom «may be gone now», - he will «do everything possible to make sure she is never forgotten and that her life will be celebrated as it deserves». He also wrote a «final message» to his late mother, which was: «I will miss you forever and finish with something she always told me, 'I love you more than life itself,' mom».

Find out what happened to Bane below.

Bane was most known for her participation in the series «Bling Empire: New York». She was a jewelry designer whose designs were worn by some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and Billy Porter.

In December 2024, Bane was involved in a skiing accident while in Aspen with her family. She detailed the sudden turn of events that occurred on her Christmas Eve in an Instagram post, noting that «in the blink of an eye, life can change».

«On a beautiful sunny day in Aspen on Christmas Eve, while on vacation with my family, I had a skiing accident that changed my life», - Bane wrote before explaining what happened to her. «At the top of the mountain, I caught an edge and fell face-first. Luckily, I always wear a helmet. At the time, it didn’t seem that bad, and I was able to ski down to the bottom».

However, «preferring to be cautious», - Bane indicated that she «wanted to get checked for a concussion» by the ski patrol. After being cleared of a concussion, Bane still «felt a slight headache, but thought after lunch everything would be fine and I could ski again». The paramedic suggested going to the hospital for a CT scan, which, as Bane recounted, «saved [her] life».

«I went in a taxi with [my husband] Jet, and 30 minutes later they told us I had a brain hemorrhage and needed to be airlifted to a trauma hospital», - she added. «The last thing I remember is being intubated, and woke up after an emergency craniotomy with Jet by my side».

At that time, Bane explained that she had a «long road to recovery» ahead of her, thanks to the doctors and ski patrol for their help. By the end of her Instagram caption, the late reality TV star wrote that she was «grateful and blessed to see the new year».

Less than a month later, Bane passed away.

The official cause of Bane’s death has not been disclosed yet. However, since she experienced a brain hemorrhage and underwent an emergency craniotomy, Bane could have passed away from the head injuries she sustained, according to many sources
