According to NBC 4 New York, mandatory evacuation zones include Charlotte County, Citrus County, Hernando County, Hillsborough County, Lee County, Levy County, Manatee County, Marion County, Pasco County, Pinellas County, Sarasota County, St. Johns County, and Volusia County.

Is Orlando in Milton’s path?

According to several storm tracking maps, Orlando is in Hurricane Milton’s path. However, since Orlando is in Orange County, no mandatory evacuation orders have been given.

In addition, Orlando theme parks such as Universal and Disney World have announced closures. Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom will close at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 9, while Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney Springs will close at 2:00 pm. Disney World stated: «We continue to closely monitor Hurricane Milton’s path. Based on the latest forecasts, we are making additional operational adjustments for the safety of our guests and employees, starting Wednesday, October 9».

Please know that these adjustments were made to allow enough time for our guests and employees to return to their resort hotels or homes safely several hours before the expected increase in winds in Central Florida»
