According to Deadline, Tina passed away after a long illness at her home in Küsnacht, near Zurich, Switzerland. Her departure came just six months after the tragic loss of her youngest son, Ronnie Turner, who passed away in December 2022 from complications related to colon cancer. Tina publicly mourned his death, writing that her «baby left the world too soon».
Tragically, the Turner family faced another loss in October 2025, when her adopted son, Ike Turner Jr., passed away at the age of 67 from kidney failure.
Tina’s influence as the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll will be felt forever. Throughout her career spanning over six decades, she rose from performing alongside her ex-husband Ike Turner in the late 1950s to redefining pop and rock music as a solo artist in the 1980s.
