Former University of Michigan football coach Sharon Moore was fired and subsequently arrested following rumors of an alleged «inappropriate» relationship with a staff member. Amid these rumors, Paige Shiver, the alleged staff member, has found herself in the public spotlight.

«Head coach of the University of Michigan football team Sharon Moore has been terminated for cause, effective immediately», - said Michigan Athletic Director Warde Manuel in a statement in December 2025. «During the university’s investigation, compelling evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in inappropriate relationships with a staff member. This behavior is a clear violation of university policy, and the University of Michigan maintains a zero-tolerance policy for such actions».

Shiver has not yet commented on the rumors regarding her alleged relationship with Moore and has kept her social media accounts private.

According to the university, Shiver works in the athletic department at the University of Michigan.

She is the daughter of Chicago Bears scout Jeff Shiver, according to a profile published by the university.

In 2016, Shiver spoke about her rare genetic condition known as Pompe disease in a profile on the Chicago Bears website. This condition makes it difficult for the body to break down glycogen, which can lead to its accumulation in muscle cells and potentially cause heart problems and muscle damage, according to multiple sources, including the National Organization for Rare Disorders.

On the Bears' website, she was described as an «active college student» who previously «ran for 30 minutes, attended cycling classes, and lifted weights almost every day without getting tired».

However, in 2015, while a junior at Purdue, Shiver experienced «exhaustion» and pain «all over her body».

«I would go for a run and couldn’t run for more than 5 minutes because my lungs started to suffer», - the then-22-year-old Shiver said, according to information on the Bears' website. «It was very hard for me to catch my breath, and my legs felt very heavy, like I could barely lift them».

Shiver graduated from Purdue with a degree in retail management, according to a biography about her from her high school in West Lafayette, Indiana, from 2013.

Since Shiver spoke with the Chicago Bears about her rare genetic condition, ten years have passed. Since she was 22 years old in 2016, this means she will be just over 30 in 2025
