The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has lost a significant number of employees due to the policies implemented by President Donald Trump’s administration. This has raised concerns, especially considering the alarming increase in aviation accidents since the beginning of the year. Additionally, FAA officials have been warning for many years that the agency is understaffed and its employees are working in an overloaded system. He described Rochelle, a 22-year veteran of the FAA, as «highly respected». Without evidence, the president blamed diversity requirements at the FAA and his two Democratic predecessors for the disaster, in which 67 people died, claiming that air traffic control standards had been weakened.
