Val Chmerkovskiy apologized to Carrie Ann Inaba after making a joking statement about possibly hitting her in response to a tense exchange between the judge and his wife, Jenna Johnson, during the show «Dancing with the Stars».
Chmerkovskiy posted his apology on Instagram on October 15, noting that he had reached out to Inaba to apologize personally and also wanted to offer a public apology, understanding that his words could impact many people beyond their internal team. He expressed regret for his comment and emphasized that he needs to be more responsible about what he publishes.
