Valerie Bertinelli has no regrets about posting a photo of her late ex-husband Eddie Van Halen on the anniversary of his death. On her Instagram on October 6, the actress shared that she used to feel uncomfortable receiving criticism for such posts, but she has now learned to ignore it.
Earlier that same day, Bertinelli posted an old photo with the rocker, who was her husband from 1981 to 2007 and passed away from cancer in 2020 at the age of 65. In the caption of the post, she wrote: «Photos may fade like old photographs, but not memories and never love».
After receiving negative comments from «haters», - Bertinelli decided to respond to the criticism in a video message. She noted that people don’t say outright: «You are not allowed to love your ex-husband», - but they continue to judge and make her feel inadequate.
The actress emphasized that her heart holds a lot of love, including love for Eddie, her son Wolfgang, her daughter-in-law, and other loved ones. She added that if she ever falls in love again, it will not affect her feelings for Eddie and other loved ones.
