Vice President Kamala Harris has just made history, not only thanks to her campaign. The 59-year-old woman became the first sitting Vice President to appear on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 9, where she found time to encourage viewers to vote.

«Hello everyone, this is Kamala Harris», - she said, entering the Werk Room during the final episode, which will air on Friday, July 26. «Every day we see our rights and freedoms under threat, including the right for everyone to be who they are, love who they love — openly and proudly».

As fans will soon see, Kamala was joined by judge Michelle Visage, NSYNC member Lance Bass, actor Cheyenne Jackson, RuPaul’s Drag Race choreographer Jamal Sims, and actress Leslie Jones.

Kamala continued: «So when we resist these attacks, let’s all remember that no one is alone. We are all in this together, and your voice is your power». The former prosecutor then urged viewers to register to vote in the upcoming elections this year. Cheyenne asked, «Can I get an Amen?» and Leslie turned to the camera to say, «You better vote!»

The appearance of the presumed Democratic candidate on the TV show came amidst her campaign, which officially began last week. Shortly after President Joe Biden announced that he would not seek re-election, he endorsed his Vice President, and she quickly raised over $ 80 million in donations. Many members of Kamala’s party and celebrities also immediately supported her.

Additionally, Kamala released her first campaign ad, synchronized with Beyoncé's song «Freedom».

«In this election, each of us is faced with a question: what kind of country do we want to live in?» Kamala asks in the ad. «There are those who believe we should be a country of chaos, fear, and hate. But us? We choose something different: freedom. Freedom not just to survive, but to thrive. Freedom to be protected from gun violence. Freedom to make decisions about our own bodies. We choose a future where no child lives in poverty; where we can all afford healthcare; where no one is above the law».

The politician concludes the promo by saying, «We believe in the promise of America, and we are ready to fight for it. Because when we fight, we win»
