Brooklyn store owner accuses Kelly Clarkson of abusing power
Co-founder of the Art of Play store in Brooklyn, Adam Rubin, has once again commented on the recent accusations against singer Kelly Clarkson, calling them «an unacceptable abuse of power». In an interview with Page Six on October 14, he stated that initially many wished for the store’s failure, but with the emergence of the truth, «reasonable people understand that this is a disgusting abuse of power».

The conflict between Rubin and Clarkson began after the singer visited the toy and game specialty store. She took to social media to share her negative experience, claiming that a store employee treated her as if she could not afford to make purchases. Clarkson also urged her followers to visit the store if they enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts' character from the movie «Pretty Woman».

After Clarkson’s accusations went viral, the official Art of Play account defended the store several times. Rubin noted that no one in the store recognized the singer and that they treat all customers equally, regardless of their fame. He also clarified that Clarkson was interested in an animatronic bird named Molly, which is not for sale as it is the store’s mascot.

Rubin added that the price for the bird is now $ 15 million, and if someone comes to the store with that amount, they will be able to take it home.
