The Kennedy family is perhaps the most famous family in American politics. Of course, the most famous member of the family was John F. Kennedy, who served as the 35th President of the United States from 1961 until his assassination on November 22, 1963. John F. Kennedy had four children with his wife, former First Lady Jackie Kennedy, but only one of them — daughter Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg — is still alive. Caroline, 66, has three children with her husband Edwin Schlossberg, 78. John F. Kennedy’s only grandson, Jack Schlossberg, started a new venture as a political correspondent for Vogue magazine on July 10, 2024.
All of John F. Kennedy’s grandchildren have helped continue the legacy of the former president. Learn about them below!
The eldest grandson of John F. Kennedy is Rose Kennedy Schlossberg, 36. Rose is the first child of Caroline and Edwin, born on June 25, 1988. She was named after her great-grandmother (John F. Kennedy’s mother). Over the years, Rose has become remarkably similar to her grandmother, Jackie, whom she called «Grandma Jackie». Unlike other family members, Rose did not pursue a political path. However, she has supported Democratic candidates in the past. She donated to former President Barack Obama’s campaign in 2008 and to Alan Khazei’s campaign for the Massachusetts Senate seat in 2010.
Rose attended Harvard University. She graduated from the university in 2010 with a degree in English, and then obtained a master’s degree in interactive telecommunications from New York University two years later. After her studies, she started a web series called «End Times Girls Club» with her friend Mara Nelson-Greenberg in 2016. The six-episode series from Above Average Productions was conceived as a humorous survival guide for the apocalypse, geared towards women, as reported by Mashable.
It was recently revealed that Rose is married to Rory MacLiff and helps out at her wife’s restaurant in Southern California.
Tatiana Kennedy Schlossberg, 33, is the middle child of Caroline and Edwin, who separated in 2015. Tatiana is best known for her work as a reporter for The New York Times, where she typically writes about climate change. She has also written for The Atlantic and Bloomberg View and reported for the Bergen County Record, a local New Jersey newspaper. Tatiana’s interest in climate change led to the release of her book «Inconspicuous Consumption: The Environmental Impact You Don’t Know About», - which was published in August 2019.
Tatiana remains close with her family. In 2013, on the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s assassination, Tatiana spoke and participated in a ceremony at the memorial in Britain. Tatiana is married to her college sweetheart, George Moran. Their wedding took place on Martha’s Vineyard on September 9, 2017. At the moment, she seems to have no Instagram account. In early 2022, she and George welcomed their first child, John F. Kennedy’s first great-grandchild, into the world.
The youngest brother of Rose and Tatiana is John «Jack» Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg, 30. Jack is a living image of his late uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr., who died in 1999 when Jack was six years old. He has followed almost all of his family’s footsteps, engaging in public service. Jack said that his grandfather is his «hero» in announcing that he is joining Vogue. Despite following in his family’s footsteps, he also describes himself as a «goofy goose».
Jack worked as a political writer for the Washington Post, Time, and Politico, and founded the non-profit organization RelightNY when he was still in middle school. The organization provides energy-efficient light bulbs to low-income families in New York and promotes environmental education. He is also very active on Instagram!
With the announcement that he has become a political correspondent for Vogue, Jack shared optimism for the future. «There are so many amazing people in public service right now — people who are doing great work — and we don’t hear about them»
