Von Miller opens chicken meat production farm

Von Miller, the Super Bowl MVP and well-known NFL player, has launched a chicken meat production business called Greener Pastures Chicken in Texas. His farm, which specializes in raising pasture-raised chickens, has attracted the attention of celebrities such as Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees, and Nick Foles, who have become investors in the company.
The idea for the farm came to Miller while he was studying at Texas A&M University, where he took a course on meat production. Later, as he was achieving success on the football field, he decided to pursue his interest in poultry farming.
At Greener Pastures, the chickens are raised in conditions that closely resemble their natural habitat. The birds start their lives in an incubator and then, when they can regulate their body temperature independently, move to fresh pastures. They are fed certified organic feed and do not receive antibiotics or hormones. The farm also received Regenerative Organic Certified status in 2026, confirming high standards in soil health and animal welfare.
Additionally, since September 2026, the farm has been certified as halal, making it one of the few in the U.S. to hold both certifications. According to Neil Dudley, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Greener Pastures, these certifications affirm the production standards that the company adheres to.
