The return of the living dead is coming back.
A year ago, Living Dead Media announced the return of the cult horror film from 1985. Since then, CEO Steve Walsh has confirmed details of the project, teasing it with a trailer done in a festive theme.
«Using our widescreen anamorphic lenses, we captured practical snow effects swirling against the night sky, giving it an amazing look and texture that will blow your mind to see the entire film made in this way», - said Walsh.
The highly anticipated reboot is scheduled to hit screens on Christmas 2025.
Fans will be able to watch the film in theaters next year, with a planned release date of Christmas 2025.
The 1985 film «Return of the Living Dead» by Dan O’Bannon served as the basis for a five-film franchise.
The first sequel, «Return of the Living Dead Part II» (1988), directed by Ken Wiederhorn, brought back some of the actors. However, «Return of the Living Dead 3» (1993), directed by Brian Yuzna, took the series in a completely new direction with a significantly different plot. The franchise continued with «Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis» (2005), directed by Ellory Elkayem, and «Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave» (2005), both of which were released directly to television.
