As Yellowstone approaches the end of its fifth and final season, its prequel 1923 is finally returning! The second season of the spin-off will premiere in early 2025, and we have all the details on how to watch it, who will be in the cast, and much more.
The first season of 1923 ended with a broken heart, which actor Brandon Sklenar noted will change the «tone» of the show in the second season.
«All I know about the second part is that I’m sure there will be a shift in tone, both for Spencer and for the show itself», - Brandon told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023. «The stakes are raised to a new level [for the second season], and the pain and guilt he carries into the next part will shape him into a version of himself that we haven’t seen yet. If I can guess as a character, I can see that happening. And, hopefully, he will bring it home and be able to realize his purpose in fighting for his family and saving the ranch».

It is expected that the main cast of 1923 — Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, and Brandon Sklenar — will return to their roles in the second season. Harrison plays Jacob Dutton alongside Kay Dutton Helen and Spencer Dutton Brandon.
A new face has been cast in a regular role for the second season: actress Jennifer Carpenter, who will play the role of Maimie Fossett.
So far, the only spin-offs of the highly acclaimed series Yellowstone are 1883 and 1923. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, two additional spin-offs are in the works. One season has been ordered for 1944, and one season has been ordered for The Madison (previously known as 2024)
